This opportunity entails being responsible for providing environmental support from concept development through project completion including researching, gathering, and analyzing data, preparing project materials, and applying environmental law and policy to ensure compliance on behalf of the client.
What You’ll Do:
Analyzes the design plan and identifies deliverables.
Compiles and analyzes data associated with multi-disciplines and proposes technical solutions. Collects raw data, organizes, researches, and applies recognized tools of analysis to provide comprehensive review of the data.
Prepares graphics, technical reports, fee proposals, and responses to Request for Proposals for planning projects.
Assists in the creation and presentation of project presentation materials, concepts, graphics and reports to the client and community groups.
May attend project team meeting with some client interaction and project consultants. Responsible for documenting meeting minutes, correspondences, and other forms related to projects within scope.
Assists in directing small-scale planning projects and portions of larger projects from concept development through submission drawings.
Coordinates with sub-consultants and in-house personnel on a regular basis to complete assigned tasks. Some contact with clients.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering or related field and 2 years of relevant experience, or
Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience
What You’ll Bring:
Use technical writing skills proficiently, making use of basic templates to create technically sound reports.
Prepare environmental review documents, reports and presentations with guidance from more experienced staff.
Knowledge of environmental laws (i.e., NEPA, special purpose, local, state, and federal) and ensure legal compliance when writing documents and working with the client, with guidance from more experienced staff.
Compile and summarize data (i.e., Census data, land use data, ecology data, Section 106, air and noise) with direction from more experienced staff.
Support project managers and task leads to deliver extraordinary value for our clients.
What We Prefer:
Master’s Degree in Planning, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
Experience or coursework using ArcGIS Pro.
Experience or coursework in climate risk, sustainability and/or resiliency.

The approximate pay range for the California San Francisco Bay Area is $79,008.68 - $118,513.02. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
