What We're Looking For
The time is right to join HNTB! The candidate selected will be responsible for the administrative direction and supervision of a large multi-discipline professional or technical group. Responsible for the development and implementation of the group’s operating and marketing budgets, as well as goal setting, staffing, recruiting, project coordination and productivity necessary to provide high quality service within the group.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Provides strategic leadership and oversight with the planning group’s efforts to drive growth in the following practices: Environmental Planning, Transportation Planning, Transit Planning, Traffic Operations
Responsible for meeting group's financial performance goals and objectives including support of revenue generation and participation and support of office sales. Actively manages assigned project management activities.
Establishment of group priorities, work planning, recruitment and quality delivery.
Ensure close coordination with internal departments, as needed.
Responsible for outreach, marketing and delivery efforts for project workshare for other HNTB offices.
Implements and executes the firm’s Sophisticated Sales Approach, Sophisticated Contracting Approach and Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SSA, SCA, SDA).
Responsible for the hiring, supervision, mentoring, professional development, evaluation and termination of group staff members.
This position will required close coordination with the Office Sales Manager, Office Delivery Manager, Office Business Manager and Office Leader.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
15 years related experience
Experience with ITS planning and implementation, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles and/or Freight & Logistics Infrastructure Planning/Policy is preferred.
RLA, RA, AICP or CEP certification
What You'll Need
Oversees all business development, design, management and technical aspects of all projects within the group and coordinates, as necessary, with office leadership to achieve HNTB's 4 for 4 (Consistent delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction on every project) performance.
Maintains and monitors quality control program.
Coordinates with other office directors to ensure a consistent level of technical standards and applications among offices.
Gathers and finalizes group input into office and division business plans.
Serves as client service leader or project manager for key clients or major assignments in assigned market area.
Coordinates with office leaders in the preparation of training programs focused on sophisticated sales approach (SSA).
Serves as a key resource in respective market area in winning mega projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, or related field
12 years related experience
10 years related experience (with Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Natural Science or related field)
