HNTB Infrastructure and Mobility Equity Manager in Dallas, Texas

This opportunity entails being responsible for supporting execution of HNTB’s Infrastructure and Mobility Equity commitment throughout the firm to differentiate HNTB’s with policy makers, clients, and employees to grow revenues and support 4for4 Delivery. This position contributes to all functional areas within Infrastructure and Mobility Equity to support Infrastructure and Mobility Equity Executive Leadership. The four functional areas include Infrastructure and Mobility Equity information exchange, services, investments, and programs firmwide. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure and Mobility Equity, provides advice and technical input to project managers, client service leaders, office sales managers, pursuit champions, and subject matter experts to support Division and Office strategic plans, sales goals and 4for4 Delivery. Researches, develops, and maintains tools, resources and materials to advance firm-wide understanding of federal expectations and client needs related to inclusive infrastructure. Works collaboratively with corporate offices including communications, delivery, contracting, finance, IT and learning and development to support incorporation of equity considerations into HNTB’s sophisticated process and advance HNTB’s commitment to and investment in infrastructure and mobility equity throughout the firm.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develops, delivers, and maintains presentations, materials, resources and communications to enable the success of the line organization in addressing client needs related to equity in infrastructure projects, including but not limited to researching and drafting legislative and technical updates, fact sheets, and white papers.

  • Provides technical expertise and leadership related to environmental justice and equity to assist pursuit and project teams in winning and delivering projects, including research and development of tailored strategies and written narratives related to environmental justice, equity considerations and inclusive infrastructure

  • Manages collaboration with internal stakeholders to support the success of the line organization in growing sales and revenue through sophisticated process refinement and implementation

  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the line organization in developing innovative and inclusive approaches to deliver opportunities for historically underutilized businesses, including refinements to the HNTB Partners Program

  • Represents HNTB Infrastructure and Mobility Equity with professional associations and non-profits, including providing association leadership, presenting at conferences, and authoring articles

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Economics, Government Relations, or other related Fields of Study degree and 9 years of relevant technical, managerial, and leadership experience, or

  • Master’s in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Economics, Government Relations, or other related Fields of Study and 8 years of relevant technical, managerial, and leadership experience, or

  • In lieu of education, 13 years of relevant technical, managerial, and leadership experience.

What You'll Bring:

  • Collaborative – carefully considers who needs to be involved in situational analysis, effective decision-making, implementation planning and evaluations, for purposes of getting the best outcome and development of people.

  • Technical Excellence – above average knowledge of environmental justice and equity considerations in the infrastructure industry in combination with excellent writing and presentation skills to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and effective way

  • Working knowledge of the federal legislative process and the federal administrative processes that govern federal transportation programs

  • Understanding of client organizations, the consulting business and the role of discovery and delivery in creating success

  • Listens well - has awareness and understanding of the diverse political environments and sensitivities in which activities or projects are taking place.

  • Persuasive – Articulate, confident, clear, and convincing in individual and group discussions and public presentations.

  • Judgement – able to assess people and situations, to accurately form opinions based on information, experience, and inference. Makes effective decisions and follows up on them.

What We Prefer:

  • Master’s in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Economics, Government Relations, or other related Fields of Study
