HNTB ITS Engineer III in East Lansing, Michigan
What We're Looking For
The time is right to join HNTB! We are seeking an ITS Engineer III in our East Lansing, Detroit, or Grand Rapids office to support a wide range of emerging mobility projects.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Develops plans, details, specifications, and cost estimates for ITS, traffic signal, connected vehicle, and other emerging mobility transportation projects
Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
Prepares systems engineering related reports and plans based on project analyses and assessment
Remains current on emerging transportation technologies.
Assists Senior Engineers and Project Managers with management of ITS and emerging mobility projects, including development, design, review, permitting, and reporting
Helps coordinate, schedule and check work of project team members
Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
Meets with clients and sub consultants to coordinate design developments
Meet schedule milestones, budget constraints and quality benchmarks on assigned projects
Assists with development of proposals and other business development activities
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Responsible for the delivery of project discipline scope elements within budget and schedule.
Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work. Guides team to overall project objectives.
Serves as technical liaison with client at staff level for work within the discipline.
Assists with project management duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
Responsible for completion of discipline engineering project elements such as reports, designs, specifications and plans.
Responsible for coordination and productivity of subordinates. Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
Works closely with other disciplines and multi-discipline projects.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
5 years relevant experience
