What We're Looking For
Our Franklin, TN office is seeking a New Grad Environmental Planner for May 2022.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Reviews design plans and identifies environmental constraints
Prepares environmental documents and public involvement materials
Collects raw data, organizes, researches and applies recognized tools of analysis to provide comprehensive review of the data
Prepares graphics and technical reports for small to medium sized projects
Assists in the creation and presentation of project presentation materials, concepts, graphics and reports to the client and community groups for public involvement meetings
May attend project team meeting with some client interaction and project consultants. Responsible for documenting meeting minutes, correspondences and other forms related to projects within scope
Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Land Development Planning, Natural Resources Sciences, or Urban Planning
Graduating in May/June 2022
Previous internship or co-op experience
Familiarity with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other federal and state environmental compliance laws
Experience with GIS mapping software and tools preferred
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
What You'll Need
Develops and/or works from design plans of others, compiles data, perform basic design and technical solutions, prepare graphics and reports for limited portions of project or for small-scale projects.
Coordinates among other disciplines involved in a project and usually has limited interaction with clients and other project consultants.
Assists in production of presentation material, concepts, graphics and reports.
Assists in preparation of comprehensive plans and studies, design drawings, and construction documents.
Collects raw data, organizes and applies recognized tools of analysis to provide comprehensive review of the data.
Assists in presentations of project work to client and community groups.
Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering or related field
