What We're Looking For
Provides guidance, direction and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex scheduling problems. Works on schedules of significant risk and impact to the organization requiring advanced knowledge of scheduling principles. Builds and maintains schedules for projects. Monitors and reports on status, analyzing schedule and associated changes for key risk areas and milestones impact.
The Construction Management & Planning Support (CoMPS) department at HNTB is a team of experienced construction consultants that have pre-construction and operational heavy construction industry experience. Our objective is to leverage this knowledge and apply this insight for our clients benefit, whether it is internal with HNTB or external for program/project owners. The CoMPS department at HNTB works nationally, offering our clients construction scheduling and estimating services from a contractor’s perspective.

Primary Focus Will Include:
Building Construction Schedules
Reviewing Contractor Construction Schedules
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
AACE PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or equivalent
Proficient in Primavera P6
What You'll Need
Independently develops new project schedules for complex projects using scheduling software. Maintains project schedule including progress updates. Communicates status of schedule and key risk areas to members of project management team.
Performs schedule risk analysis, including quantitative risk analysis.
Performs schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones and significant changes to schedule. Develops “what if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing in order to mitigate or avoid schedule delays. Revises forecasts and evaluates impact of delay.
Performs claims related analysis using contractor claims, delay cost estimates, time impacts, etc.
Prepares reporting from schedules including EVA analysis, integration of cost and schedule.
Performs contemporaneous schedule analysis.
Performs detailed review of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business
6 years related experience
In lieu of education, 10 years project controls experience
