HNTB Communications Manager in Kansas City, Missouri

What We're Looking For

Responsible for implementing a wide range of communications and marketing strategies to promote the HNTB brand in support of business objectives. This position supports leadership in developing marketing and communications materials, national award submittals, advertising and digital content for internal and external channels. Event management and support also included in this role.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Develops marketing communications materials in both print and digital format to support national programs.

  • Writes, edits and provide creative direction on national communication programs.

  • Supports virtual and in-person forums and industry events, as well as webinars

  • Supports and identifies projects and people to submit and works with teams to develop submittals for national award opportunities.

  • Identifies advertising opportunities and works with creative team to develop ads.

  • Works with market sector and professional service leaders to identify industry events for sponsorship, presentations and events.

  • Researches background information on HNTB projects and business objectives to ensure communications programs, including national collateral, awards and advertising support HNTB's strategic goals.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent writing, editing and oral communications skills are a must, as is a thorough knowledge of AP style.

  • Able to work collaboratively with those within the communications group as well as other internal clients.

  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines and budgets.

  • Must possess a can-do attitude, be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven atmosphere.

  • 7+ years experience in corporate communications role, agency or related field

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or relevant field

  • 6 years relevant experience; corporate, non-profit, or agency
