Job Information

HNTB Graphic Design in Lake Mary, Florida

What We're Looking For

Creates templates and all required graphics for proposals, interviews and in-house materials. Creates the design and layout, and coordinates production of various materials including printed brochures, flyers, boards, and some multi-media designs, to create an image, communicate concepts, or deliver a message in the most effective way.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Create high-quality visual content including document layouts, infographics, illustrations, presentations, logos and collateral materials.

  • Develop visual design concepts across multiple platforms such as print, web and mobile for multiple clients.

  • Interpret and distill highly technical information for mainstream audiences.

  • Design and layout materials, including color schemes, fonts, document formatting, camera-ready artwork, etc.

  • Collaborate with team members across HNTB, including receiving and responding to creative feedback.

  • Initiate and complete tasks while adhering to established workflows, budgets and review/delivery timelines.

  • Organize, maintain and archive working files according to established processes.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote

  • Experience with virtual meeting platforms


What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Creates detailed charts and graphs illustrating HNTB’s strategy for the project to clients. Designs covers, tabs and dividers that are required for client submission presentations. Prepares preliminary sketches, renderings, and/or mock-ups, coordinates customer approval, or recommends and performs modifications as needed. Performs final design and layout of materials, including color schemes, typefaces, camera-ready artwork, cutting overlays, etc. Interacts with HNTB staff and clients to create initial materials, concepts and ideas that conform to client needs and timelines.

  • Develops materials for interviewing with the client, such as boards, PowerPoint presentations and leave behinds.

  • Assists in concept development of program identified, logos and other graphic elements to graphically link program materials.

  • Designs and performs preliminary layout of various materials including brochures, flyers, media release templates, exhibit boards, newsletters, report covers and other printed materials.

  • Helps coordinate production of materials by outside vendors as well as internal staff. Provides detailed and accurate cost estimates for all printed graphics.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Art, Graphic Design, or related area

  • 3 years art/graphic design experience

  • In lieu of education, 7 years art/graphic design experience
