HNTB Engineer II - Civil/Roadway in Las Vegas, Nevada
What We're Looking For
Assists assigned department by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery on assigned project(s).
This is an exciting time to join HNTB with opportunities to work on a variety of in-progress and upcoming transportation projects in the Bay Area. HNTB is seeking an Engineer II with a focus towards highway projects to work out of either the San Jose or Oakland office.
The Engineer II will be a part of the Civil department and will collaborate with project teams working on designs involving highway realignment, addition of express lanes to existing freeways, and development of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)/Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) plans.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Use primarily MicroStation with InRoads, or Civil 3D, and related software add-ons (such as SignCAD) to deliver the roadway design projects.
Apply Caltrans Standards and Specifications, and CA MUTCD.
Assist in the preparation of design calculations to support safe, efficient project designs.
Apply knowledge and understanding of the Caltrans PS&E process to produce plans, compose project specifications, and develop project quantity and cost estimates.
Collaborate within a team environment to facilitate production of high quality plans, specifications and estimates.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with MicroStation and InRoads.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
Master’s Degree in Engineering.
