HNTB Technician Specialist in Noblesville, Indiana

What We're Looking For

Senior Proficiency Level with emphasis in one or more areas of expertise. This advanced level may include supervisory responsibilities. Work duties may be narrowly focused or diverse. Examples of focus may include areas such as CADD management, 3D specialist, GIS Specialist, Engineering Technician Designer, and other areas of specialization. Will be knowledgeable in methods, techniques, and practices of the appropriate specialty.

We are looking for an experienced, team-oriented CADD technician with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude to join our growing team.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Prepare electronic files, design plans, construction details, and meeting exhibits with minimal direction and in coordination with engineering teams.

  • Follow and achieve project scope, schedule and budget in accordance with quality procedures.

  • Assist in the evaluation of new drafting/design procedures and/or software.

  • Provide training of less experienced technicians and engineering staff.

  • Assist in development and application of new software.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Drafting technology or related discipline

  • 8 years related experience

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Utilized as technical resource in project meetings and project design for area of specialty.

  • Researches best practices and maintains outside contact with other specialists.Acts as an internal and external point-of-contact for specialty area(s). May train others in related subject matter.

  • Prepares technical presentations, reports and analysis in area of specialty.

  • Fluent in the HNTB project management philosophy and may be responsible for project budgets, schedules and progress reporting at a task level.

  • Interacts regularly with clients at the staff level.

  • May perform technical reviews for other projects in area of specialty.

  • May be responsible for managing a project team in area of specialty and coordinating work with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate of Science or Technical School

  • 10 years related experience

  • In lieu of education, 12 years related experience
