The time is right to join HNTB Corporation as a Marketing Coordinator II in our Oakland, CA office! As a valued partner to our pursuit teams, and supported by a group of graphic design and marketing process professionals, you will help us position for and win some of the most exciting transportation projects in the Bay Area. Your focus will be effectively driving each pursuit forward – crafting a winning message through targeted client engagement and internal strategy sessions, then implementing that message in compelling proposals and interview presentations.
Independently works on standard and routine proposals.
Performs a lead role in managing mini-mega and strategic proposals. This includes working with individual pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies through the use of Project Win Plans (PWP) and RFP, scheduling and conducting project kick-off meetings with project champions/project managers, principals and other staff to strategize for a winning proposal and/or presentation. Researches, gathers and edits proposal materials, including writing, verifying, and formatting proposal information. Ensures the various aspects of the proposals (Technical Scope, Staff Qualification and Experience, Biographical Data, etc.) and other marketing materials are accurate and delivered in a timely manner. Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials. Organizes technical staff in presentation rehearsals and provides coaching support.
Assists with Mega projects, supporting senior coordinator, team leader and/or marketing manager by preparing proposal materials, which includes writing, verifying, and formatting proposal information. Researches and gathers information for proposals and presentations to include resumes, forms, etc. Formats and edits content, rewriting if necessary.
Acts as a champion of HNTB’s client focus philosophy, supporting it by participating in client service team meetings and preparing materials for specific client focus activities with Foundation and future Foundation clients.
May coordinate division PR activities, including creating press releases and announcements, writing articles for division newsletter, and coordinating project awards and other special PR related projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related degree
3 years related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to function in a team setting and take direction from colleagues.
Ability to collaborate with a range of professionals.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with ability to multi-task.
Proficient with Microsoft office, SharePoint, Adobe and other communications-related software programs.
Can-do attitude, flexible, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven atmosphere.
General Work Conditions
Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
