HNTB Compensation Analyst in Overland Park, Kansas

What We're Looking For

Provides compensation analytical support by assisting in the design development, implementation and administration of compensation policies and procedures to ensure fair and consistent application and accomplishment of Human Resources objectives. Assists in the development of special studies and recommendations on a variety of compensation projects, programs and policies.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • PC proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participates in salary surveys, interpret salary data and perform analysis to ensure competitive positioning within the marketplace.

  • Oversees salary survey database and integrity of associated market data. Responsible for keeping tables and queries updated and working properly to support market pricing efforts.

  • Manages the administrative processes related to the creation of job codes, geographic differentials and salary ranges, preparing supporting compensation materials as requested.

  • Audits employee data to ensure compliance with current compensation policies and practices, identifying and working with HR Director to address any issues.

  • Assists in annual market job pricing studies to validate and make recommendations for changes to existing structures, geographic pay differentials, new graduate rates etc.

  • Conducts analysis of jobs descriptions, base salaries, to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness and legal compliance of pay practices.

  • Researches current compensation market practices and make recommendations as needed. Researches and monitor FLSA compliance.

  • Provides analysis of compensation for specific employee groups and propose market adjustments when necessary.

  • Assists in the planning, coordination, administration and reporting for the annual salary review program.

  • Analyzes pay equity and compliance monitoring. Recommend adjustments and corrections where applicable to minimize exposure and liability.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related area

  • 3 years compensation/HR experience

  • In lieu of education, 7 years compensation/HR experience
