This opportunity entails being responsible for creating 3D models, animations, images and real time simulations for project pursuits including proposals, interviews and presentations and may provide design services for clients.
What You'll Do:
Creates models, textures, effects, materials and animates objects for virtual environments and animations.
Manages multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, working closely with team to effectively meet project deadlines.
Imports data from GIS, Engineering, and Architectural files into 3D software for environment creation.
Plays an active role in all aspects of the creative team design process including identifying user needs, requirement definitions, prototyping.
Creates storyboards, mood boards, and draft animations that help guide initial story of the project.
Creates initial animation(s) or image(s) used for proposals, project interviews, public presentations, and publication in major media (periodicals, news media, national and international press).
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Associates Degree in computer animation, game design, CAD or related field and 3 years of relevant experience, or
In lieu of education 5 years of relevant experience
What You'll Bring:
Proficient in using design software (e.g. Autodesk 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, Chaos Group Vray, GIS software) to create models and animations for pre-sells, proposals, and billable work with guidance from more senior staff.
Proficient in using a real-time engine (e.g. Unreal or Unity) to create interactive and immersive content for pre-sells, proposals, and billable work with guidance from more senior staff.
Assisting with the development of basic storyboards and camera or object animations.
Developing materials and textures to enhance models for final output.
Basic understanding of tools developed by Technical Artist team for efficient workflow enhancements.
Full compositing (e.g., layers, overlaying, color correcting, cloning) in Photoshop.
Importing data from GIS, Engineering, and Architectural files into 3D software for environment creation.
What We Prefer:
Bachelors’ degree in Computer Graphics or related field
1 years relevant experience in transportation, engineering, architecture, and gaming or visualization industry
1 year relevant experience using a scripting language with a real-time engine (e.g. Blueprint or Python)
