HNTB Toll Technology Intern - Summer 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina
What We're Looking For
Our Raleigh, NC office is seeking a Toll Technology Intern for Summer 2021.
Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Compliance and auditing of toll system transactions
Periodic field visits to check on tolls assets and equipment performance
Investigating and tracking issues with transponders (e.g. bitflip issue, mistranslation of transponders, defective transponders)
Investigating and/or contacting account-holders/customers for issues detected during audit process (e.g. incorrect transponder placement, incorrect transponder type)
Tracking customer issues
Assist project team members with various support tasks
Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Pursuing a BA or BS degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; resourceful and able to solve problems creatively
Excellent written communication skills, verbally articulate, and a good listener
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a general understanding of data analysis techniques
Time Management skills, ability to prioritize and organize work, including multi-task
Ability to work independently
What You'll Need
Performs a variety of tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, tracking and evaluating results, coordinating program developments, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquires and making appointments.
Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.
Assists management in analyzing various data.
Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus working toward a BA/BS
