HNTB OCS Field Representative in San Jose, California
What We're Looking For
Provides proficiency level inspection work to monitor compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
This is long term opportunity located in the Bay Area and will be working in the field. Remote work arrangements are not available.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Conduct field inspections of OCS installations
Prepare inspector daily reports
Develop solutions for field issues
- Previous field experience in various rail system disciplines including design and inspection. OCS highly preferred
Desired Soft skills:
Strategic thinker, with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and gain the support of others
Ability to work in a matrix organization
Able to take ownership and be accountable for projects and personnel
Ability to work independently
Ability to make sound decisions based on site field conditions
RWP qualified or capable of receiving training
Ability to work successfully and professionally with client contacts
What You'll Need
Assesses contractor activities including: inspection, proper installation sequencing, schedule compliance, and contract requirements.
Assists in review and modification of schedules, specifications, and drawings in order to identify basic construction or engineering problems.
Recommends and applies standard construction techniques and procedures in order to resolve identified problems.
Coordinates the activities of survey team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
8 years construction experience unless otherwise required by state provisions
