HNTB Stormwater Engineer III in Tampa, Florida
What We're Looking For
Fully competent to complete engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery with minimal direction. On tasks basis, is responsible for preparation and completion of discipline engineering efforts that are responsive to project needs. Coordinates preparation of design details, plans, and drawings within assigned task areas.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Perform drainage design for transportation projects, including stormwater management facility, floodplain compensation site, storm drain, ditch, culvert, bridge hydraulics, and scour analysis
Work in MicroStation and AutoCAD production platforms, and use of a variety of technical design software packages (ICPR, HEC-RAS, HY-8, ASAD, Geopak Drainage)
Prepare construction and permitting documents, including reports, plans, and specifications
Conduct design and constructibility reviews of plans
Work on proposal preparation, scope, and staff hours estimates
Help supervise, schedule, and check work of project team members
Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Familiarity with FDOT drainage design and production criteria
Proficiency with 3D modeling
Ability to solve complex technical challenges and project objectives
What You'll Need
Responsible for completion of discipline engineering project elements such as reports, designs, specifications and plans.
Responsible for coordination and productivity of subordinates. Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
Works closely with other disciplines and multi-discipline projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
5 years relevant experience
